If you know me or have known me I would hope you knew I was religious. I have always tried my best to talk to anyone and everyone about what I believe in, but I know at times I have failed. So! I'm making this page for anyone who does not know what Azlyn and Danny believe in. We are members of "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints," or in short...we are of the Mormon religion; and I'm excited and proud to say I am very religious! For a summed up version of what we believe in you can read our "Articles of Faith".. they are 13 statements of our beliefs.
We know through our prophet Joseph Smith that God and Jesus Christ (his son) have a body of flesh and bone. They revealed themselves to him back in the spring of 1820 when he had prayed to know which church was right, and which church he should join. He was told "none of them," and that soon the church would be restored on the earth, and it was through much of Joseph Smith that this happened. We believe God was once like us, and that we too can one day become like him and have all the glory that he possesses if we are faithful to our covenants made in the temple and we live a righteous life; becoming as he is.
We believe that Jesus Christ, Heavenly Father (God) and the Holy Ghost are separate-they are not one, but they ACT together for one purpose, and that purpose is to bring us closer to our Savior Jesus Christ who will help us become as God is. We believe that Jesus Christ is God's son, and in order for us to return to our Heavenly Father there needed to be a mediator (someone who would suffer for our sins to satisfy the demands of justice) in order for us to be capable of repentance, forgiveness, and returning to live with God again after death. Jesus Christ was that person who died on the cross for the sins of the world and suffered in the garden of Gethsemane for each and every one of us.
We believe that the Holy Ghost is a spirit, designated to helping mankind return to God through our Savior Jesus Christ. He aids in our decisions and helps us on this earth to make good choices, to warn us, to reveal, and to testify of Jesus Christ and all that is. He is somewhat like a conscience because he directs us, but he is much more than that for he is an actual spirit, and we strive to keep his feeling near in any church activity that we do and in our daily lives by living the gospel correctly. You are given the gift of having him in your life when you are baptized into our church and confirmed a member; you must work to receive him daily by living righteously.
Here are a few of our websites for people who are members or are not a member. You can explore them to your hearts content-however the real way to know about our religion is to obtain a "Book of Mormon" from one of our missionaries (those guys in white shirts and black pants that knock on your door) and read it thoroughly. Or, of course, you can obtain one through me, or any church member you know!
If you have seen some of our temples around your area-stop and take a look-THEY. ARE. BEAUTIFUL. You are allowed to walk around them and feel the spirit of the temples. Danny and I were sealed (married, for time and all eternity) in the Bountiful, Utah temple recently. What a wonderful experience that was. I would never trade it for a civil marriage. There are promises given and received in the temple walls, there are baptisms for loved ones who have died and did not know about the gospel (our religion), and there are marriages done for the dead as well. Our prophets and apostles go often, meet often, and are able to commune with God within the temple walls. You cannot go into the temples without a recommend from your Bishop and Stake President, but that is in no way an exclusion-it is just a process. The temples are sacred, and to walk into such sacred places your mind, heart, and desires need to be in the right place, as to keep the temple holy..

"Our labors in the temple cover us with a shield and a protection, both individually and as a people. So come to the temple—come and claim your blessings. It is a sacred work" - President Boyd K. Paker, The Holy Temple

This is us in front of the Salt Lake City temple doors on our wedding day. However, we were married in the Bountiful, Utah temple =] I just loved these doors.
One of the greatest blessings about the temple is that families can be sealed together FOREVER! Families won't just be together on earth, but they will go on after death with one another.
There is much to learn in our religion-that is why it is so intriguing to me. If you know me well, you will often see me with several books at church in a bag..I just can't get enough sometimes. I love to read my scriptures, and if you come to my house I have a bookshelf full of different sizes and you are WELCOME to borrow ANY of them to read! I spent almost 3 years working/serving in the Church for my job and LOVED every minute of it. I love answering questions about religion, and I love hearing your thoughts. I challenge any of you who wonder what we believe in to ask me, or ask someone who is a member. I love my Savior Jesus Christ, he answers my prayers, he makes my burdens light, and he stands by me every second I breathe. I love my Heavenly Father for all that he has blessed me with physically and spiritually and I am so thankful he decided to create me! My happiness lies in every gospel principle this church is founded on, and I am eager to see everything come to pass and learn and learn and learn! I love the gospel, and I love my friends and so I try my best to share it with the world.
